Collection Info:
Preserve: 10% formalin fixed or parifin embedded tissue.
1. Submit tissue fixed in 10% buffered formalin in a plastic container supplied by MGH.
2. Send specimen to the Pathology Department as soon as possible to expedite processing.
3. When the Pathology Department is not staffed, i.e. Sundays, holidays, and from 5 p.m. to 7a.m. daily, send specimens to the Histology
Laboratory.
4. Contact MGH Pathology Department if you should have any questions.

1. OPERATIVE DIAGNOSIS AND SOURCE OF SPECIMEN ARE REQUIRED ON REQUEST FORM FOR PROCESSING.
